Because working in your business isn’t the same as leading it.
You know that feeling when the week flies by and somehow… you still haven’t looked at your numbers, your goals, or anything that resembles strategy?
Yeah. That.
Most founders I work with aren’t short on ambition — they’re short on time to think like a CEO.
But here’s the truth: If you never make time for strategy, planning, or growth… your business starts to feel like one long to-do list.
That’s where a CEO Day comes in.
And no — it doesn’t have to be a dreamy off-site with a whiteboard and oat milk flat white (though we love that too).
It can be 2–3 hours on a Tuesday, done in your leggings, with your phone on Do Not Disturb.
I call it your Minimum Viable CEO Day.

What’s a CEO Day, Anyway?
It’s not about admin.
It’s not about inbox zero.
It’s about zooming out — so you can run your business on purpose, not on autopilot.
You need space to think, not just react.
You need time to ask:
- Where are we going?
- What’s working?
- What needs fixing?
- What’s next?
Even if you’re a solo founder — especially if you are — this matters.
How to Do It in 2–3 Hours
If a full day sounds like a luxury, start smaller.
Block out a 2–3 hour window, once a week or once a month.
Put it in your calendar like a client call. Then protect it like your business depends on it (because… it kinda does).
Here’s your Minimum Viable CEO Day framework:
1. Vision Check (30 mins)
Reconnect with your bigger picture.
Ask:
- Are we still headed in the right direction?
- What’s the long game here?
- Am I still building something I actually want?
This isn’t fluffy. It’s your compass.
2. Money Date (30–45 mins)
Yes, even if it makes you cringe.
Look at your revenue, expenses, and projections.
Track what’s coming in, what’s going out, and what needs adjusting.
Ask:
- What offers are most profitable?
- Am I undercharging or over-delivering?
- What’s my financial focus for the next 30 days?
Numbers are power. Don’t outsource your understanding of them.
P.S. You Don’t Have to Do It Alone
Inside The Female Founder Space, we make this kind of thinking time a non-negotiable. Whether you’re in a group program like Powerhouse or just hanging out in our community, you’ll find a mix of strategy, structure, and women who get it — so you don’t have to figure it all out in isolation.
You get to be the CEO and be supported like one.
3. Strategy + Ops Sweep (45 mins)
This is where you spot the bottlenecks.
Ask:
- What’s slowing us down right now?
- What can be automated, simplified, or delegated?
- What needs to shift to make growth easier?
You’re not just the doer — you’re the designer.
4. Growth & Marketing Focus (30 mins)
How are people finding you?
What’s converting?
Where’s the energy (and revenue) coming from?
Plan content. Review what’s working.
Ask:
- Where can I be more visible this month?
- What message do I want to lead with?
- How can I make it easier for people to buy?
You don’t need a new funnel. You need a clear message and consistent action.
Bonus: Self-Check-In
Ask yourself:
- What am I proud of?
- What’s feeling heavy?
- What do I need — more support, more clarity, more rest?
Because you’re not a machine. You’re the heart of this business.
TL;DR: Your Mini CEO Day Checklist
✅ Revisit the vision
✅ Review the money
✅ Sweep for strategy + systems
✅ Focus on growth
✅ Check in with yourself
Final Thought
You don’t need a full day in a fancy space.
You need a window. A ritual. A moment to lead.
If you’re feeling stuck, scattered, or like your business is running you — try this.
Give yourself the gift of thinking time.
It’s not extra. It’s essential.
And the more you do it, the more your business starts to feel like a business — not a sprint you can’t quit.
You’re the CEO. Even when you’re doing it in a hoodie.
